Mimi Roberts is an artist who specialises in still life painting. Inspired by artists from Italy, Spain and the Netherlands from the 16th and 17th centuries, the subject of her work is taken from life. Food is the major theme, fish, fruit and vegetables froming the main part of her portfolio.
The paintings are in oil on board which are varnished. They are traditionally framed in painted black wood with wide gold slips, but alternative frames can be supplied.
Mimi will take commissions if a special subject is required, please contact to discuss.
There is generally an anual exhibition in London and there are regional shows from time to time, otherwise there will be a selection of paintings on GEOFFREY STEAD'S stand at various art and antique shows during the year in London, if you would like an invitation to any, please contact us.
Due to COVID 19 , last year's shows were mostly cancelled, but Battersea Decorative fair went ahead in late September, as did the Olympia Winter Fair. Both were quite successful and hugely enjoyable. So wonderful to be free after the pandemic! Also we had a great Battersea Fair in January, lots of visitors and lots of sales!
Our next outing will be the Sring Battersea fair from 4th to 8th May, opening day times will be from 12pm to 8pm. I think, like the last 2 fairs, we will not be able to give out free tickets for the opening day, but this may change.
At the moment, I am building up stock for this event and will be posting new glass stock when and if, and I am working hard to produce a new collection of paintings which I will post in the coming days.
Thank you for continuing to take interest in my website.
