About Mimi Roberts

Mimi Roberts is an artist who specialises in still life painting. Inspired by artists from Italy, Spain and the Netherlands from the 16th and 17th centuries, the subject of her work is taken from life. Food is the major theme, fish, fruit and vegetables froming the main part of her portfolio.

The paintings are in oil on board which are varnished. They are traditionally framed in painted black wood with wide gold slips, but alternative frames can be supplied.

Mimi will take commissions if a special subject is required, please contact to discuss.

There is generally an anual exhibition in London and there are regional shows from time to time, otherwise there will be a selection of paintings on GEOFFREY STEAD'S stand at various art and antique shows during the year in London, if you would like an invitation to any, please contact us.

Due to COVID 19 , the year before last shows were mostly cancelled, but last year Battersea Decorative fair went ahead in late September, as did the Olympia Winter Fair. Both were quite successful and hugely enjoyable. So wonderful to be free after the pandemic! Also we had a great Battersea Fair in January  lots of visitors and lots of sales! The Spring Fair was pretty good too.

Our next outing will be the Autumn Fair at Battersea from 3rd October to 9th 2023, on the opening day times will be from 12pm to 8pm. Unlike the last 2 fairs, we will  be able to give out free tickets for the opening day. From Wednesday onwards the fair will open at 11am until 8pm, Friday and Saturday until 7 pm and the fair closes at 6 pm on Sunday. Please let me know if you would like tickets and I will arrange it.

I am so sorry that there are so few paintings on the website. I am working to built a nice collection for Battersea and will have lots of new work to put on nearer the fair. I am going to France in September to work and will have some time find new ideas in the markets. Fish, fruit and veg as usual!

.

Thank you for continuing to take an I nterest in my website.
