About Mimi Roberts

Mimi Roberts is an artist who specialises in still life painting. Inspired by artists from Italy, Spain and the Netherlands from the 16th and 17th centuries, the subject of her work is taken from life. Food is the major theme, fish, fruit and vegetables froming the main part of her portfolio.

The paintings are in oil on board which are varnished. They are traditionally framed in painted black wood with wide gold slips, but alternative frames can be supplied.

Mimi will take commissions if a special subject is required, please contact to discuss.

Mimi shares a stand with her husband Geoffrey Stead at The Decorative Antiques and Textiles Fair in Battersea Park. This happens 3 times a year, January, May and September. There will be a good selection of paintings showing there as well as her stock of 20th century glass. Lots of lovely vases of all shapes , sizes and colours! Something for everyone.

Our next outing will be the Winter Fair at Battersea from 23rd January to 28th January 2024, on the opening day times will be from 12pm to 8pm. Unlike the last few fairs, we will  be able to give out free tickets for the opening day. From Wednesday onwards the fair will open at 11am until 8pm, Friday and Saturday until 7 pm and the fair closes at 6 pm on Sunday. Please let me know if you would like tickets and I will arrange it.

After good Christmas sales, I am working on a new collection for Battersea and will be posting more paintings from time to time before the opening at the fair. Fish, fruit and veg as usual! Also, I have been buying lots of lovely glass which will be on show.

I look forward to seeing you
